About Vici Poker

Vici Poker is a 10 week FREE bar poker league, hosted by Vici Sports, where players compete for points, prizes, and seats at the Vici Poker Tournament of Champions. Because there is no entry fee, Vici Poker is NOT CONSIDERED GAMBLING! Vici Poker operates in local bars and restaurants and offers 2 tournaments a night (you can find your local game in the menu above).

  • Locate the league(s) you would like to join from the "Leagues" menu option at the top of this page. (Feel free to join multiple leagues!)
  • Enter your profile information and create an account to register.
    • Registering for an account keeps you up-to-date on when new poker nights are added, or if the one you want to attend has been canceled for whatever reason.
    • Registering also allows you to accumulate points to be eligible for the Vici Poker Tournament of Champions.
  • Please arrive to your local game 30 minutes early so the tournament can start on time.
  • Each tournament is a no-limit Texas Hold 'Em event where gameplay continues until there is one person left standing.
  • If you finish in the top 20, you will receive points for your player ranking.

IMPORTANT: The Tournament Director on site is in charge of each event and can determine how the rules are enforced in the best interest of the game.

  • NO GAMBLING!
    • Any person observed wagering cash, property, or anything of value will be terminated from the league. NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • AGE REQUIREMENT
    • Even though Vici Poker offers free poker, we recommend everybody playing be over the age of 18, however, this is up to the owner of the location the game is being played.
  • BETTING
    • A bet is binding when the chips are physically released into the pot or a player has made a verbal statement of action.
  • RAISING
    • All raises must be equal to or greater than the size of the previous bet or raise on that betting round, except for an all-in bet.
  • MUCKING
    • If you throw your cards into the muck then your hand is folded.  However, a hand that is clearly identifiable may be retrieved and ruled live at the Tournament Director's discretion if doing so is in the best interest of the game.
  • EXPOSED CARDS
    • If there is an exposed card, during dealing, the dealer must show everyone at the table, burn that card, and continue dealing.
    • Players may not expose their cards during a hand until the hand is complete.
    • If a player exposes his card on purpose it is up to the Tournament Director on how they would like to handle the situation.
  • SHOWDOWN
    • A player can only win the hand if they show both of their hole cards at the showdown.  If no one calls the player, the player does not need to show.
  • EXTRA CHIP IN THE POT
    • In the case of a split pot, and an extra chip, the chip goes to the first player to the left of the dealer (that was still in the hand).
  • TWO PLAYERS OUT AT THE SAME TIME
    • If two players are knocked out at the same time, the player that had more chips at the beginning of the hand receives the better finishing position.  If both players happened to have the same amount of chips, the player that had the best starting hand will earn the better position.
  • SHUFFLING
    • The player to the right of the dealer shuffles the cards.  When you are done dealing it is your responsibility to shuffle the cards you just dealt.
    • This speeds up the game and minimizes the chances of misdeals.
  • MAKE YOUR CHIPS VISIBLE
    • Do not hide your higher value chips behind other stacks.
  • NO CHEATING
    • Any player caught cheating will be immediately asked to leave the game
    • This includes but is not limited to: collusion, dumping chips, and false shuffling.
    • The Tournament Director will have final say on all incidents involving cheating.
  • NO STRING BETTING (placing bet or raise out in multiple motions)
  • CARDS ON THE TABLE
    • Cards MUST be on the table and visible to all players at all times.
  • DON'T PLAY OUT OF TURN
  • LEAVING EARLY
    • If you have to leave early, your chips will be taken off the table and given to the Tournament Director.
  • LEAVING THE TABLE
    • Leaving the table for short breaks is allowed, however, your blinds will be posted and cards will be dealt to your position.  If you do not return in time for your action, your cards will be mucked and blinds placed into the pot.
  • DON'T SHOW YOUR CARDS
  • NO STRADDLE BETS
  • NO SPLASHING THE POT
  • NO WHINING
  • ALL OTHER DISCREPANCIES
    • All other discrepancies or issues should be reported to the Tournament Director for resolution.  The Tournament Director has final say in all matters.

  • Each venue/night will have different prizes, but most of bars will give out gift certificates for the top 3 players in each tournament.
  • At the end of the 10 week season, the player in each bar with the most points will be titled Bar Champion.
    • The Bar Champion will receive a prize and an entry into the Tournament of Champions.
  • In addition to the Bar Champion, the 2nd and 3rd place point earners, each season, will win a seat into the Tournament of Champions at the end of the season.
